The Social Enterprise CONTROVENTO Onlus was born in 2015 from the desire and commitment of professional members that want to spend their skills in the socio-psycho-pedagogical field and to create services of which the territory of Catania showed profound deficiencies. We are committed to improving the quality of people’s lives. Thanks to a team of professionals we take care of your life project by promoting cooperation, sociality and new opportunities.

Our services:

  1. Academy of Autonomy was born as a response to the need to promote the autonomous and independent life of people with disabilities. The academy provides within the same various courses aimed at acquiring and strengthening Autonomies. The courses are distinguished by age groups, degree of autonomy owned, and type of disability, to preserve the harmonic growth of the individual taken in charge.
  2. Psychological Well-Being, is proposed as an aid to be able to contribute to the psychophysical well-being of all those people who find themselves experiencing discomfort, even if not of a psychiatric nature.
  3. Training Courses: our team offers a wide range of courses, including various areas of expertise to ensure constant growth. All courses carry out with an active and participatory approach, in which the real protagonist of the training is the person himself. The goal of our company is to create targeted path that can produce a change in value, transforming knowledge into stable learning available to the resource.
  4. Day By Day Morning Workshops
  5. European Partnerships, The Erasmus+ programme aims for the contribution of Europe 2020 strategy, employment, social equity and integration, as well as to the goals of ET2020, the EU’s strategic framework for education and training.
    The Programme shall also promote the sustainable development of its partners in higher education and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the EU Youth Strategy.
    Our cooperative participates in the Erasmus+ programming through some projects activated through the fund.

Les Apprimeurs, founded in 2013, is a company driven by the co-founders’ background in publishing and imagery, both in print and digital formats. The company’s mission is to conceive creative solutions to facilitate access to writing, culture, and education. Operating in multiple domains, Les Apprimeurs engages in:

  1. Youth Publishing (Print and Digital): Under the brand L’Apprimerie (lapprimerie.com), Les Apprimeurs publishes approximately 5 print books per year for children aged 2 to 10, including various formats like albums, leporello, documentaries, activity books, and comics.
  2. Cultural and Educational Services: The company provides graphic and editorial services in both print and digital realms, encompassing e-books, websites, virtual exhibitions, magazines, books, and communication materials.
  3. Training: Les Apprimeurs is involved in both initial (degrees and masters) and professional training for professionals in the fields of literature, culture, imagery, graphic design, and digital media.
  4. European Partnerships: Actively participating in the Erasmus+ program, Les Apprimeurs collaborates on projects aiming to develop resources and training to make education and culture more inclusive and accessible. The company has been involved in over fifteen Erasmus+ projects since 2013.

Boarve konsult AB is a consultancy firm working with accessible information and communication, and everyone’s right to participate in society.

Boarve konsult is owned and run by Ulla Bohman. She is known as a leading Easy Language Expert in Europe. She has more than 30 years of experience in the field of accessibility, intercultural communication and Human Rights. Ulla Bohman is often asked to give keynotes at international conferences on these topics.

Boarve adapts and produces information in Easy Language. Boarve also offers training and workshops in how to write or speak in Easy Language. Boarve gives many presentations about accessible information, Easy Language and Inclusion.

Boarve offers services in both Swedish and English and can take on assignments from all over the world.

Zavod Risa is a non-governmental organisation. Since 2011, we have been working in the fields of culture and social care. We work for equal access to information, empowerment of vulnerable groups, and advocacy for human rights. We are the first organisation in Slovenia to develop and promote Easy Language. We run programmes such as personal assistance, independent advocacy for independent living, and the Centre for Communication and Easy Language programme. We create texts in Easy Slovenian. We publish books and an online newspaper, 20 minutes. We run workshops on how to prepare and use Easy Language. Volunteers and self-advocates are an important part of the team. They are our co-creators. They help with our projects and programmes. Our activities support people with intellectual and related disabilities and all those who need equal opportunities and help to become literate and integrate into society. Our goal is to build a society that is accessible and more inclusive. We work in partnership with many organisations. Our activities in Erasmus+ projects: EASIT: Easy Access for Social Inclusion Training; MyPart: Participatory Approaches in the Civic Education with and for People with Intellectual Disabilities; PERLSI: Project Promoting Easy-to-Read Language for Social Inclusion; Train2Validate: Professional training for easy-to-read facilitators and validators; Simpl4ALL; SELSI: Spoken Easy Language for Social Inclusion.

YELO is a non-profit art organization established in 2016, focused on interdisciplinary programs combining multimedia, art, literature, performance, and technology, including virtual reality and sound software. In collaboration with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) in Zagreb, YELO bridges art and technical sciences to create innovative platforms for cultural content distribution. YELO’s mission is to connect artists with audiences through digital content, supporting new technologies in cultural industries. The organization develops mobile applications and VR 360 films to make cultural programs accessible and fosters social exchanges and intercultural dialogue.
In addition to educational technologies, YELO creates interactive art installations, performances, and sound art projects that combine narrative, sound, movement, and immersive digital environments, offering new ways for audiences to engage with art. YELO has developed mobile platforms to support children with developmental challenges, offering audio-formatted literary content to improve reading, comprehension, and language skills. The platform includes customizable features, pronunciation practice, progress tracking, and offline access, supporting inclusive education. This initiative aligns with national and international standards, such as the National Plan for Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities and the EU Strategy on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

YELO’s programs enhance digital skills and foster inclusion, providing personalized learning experiences and supporting teachers and professionals with detailed progress tracking. Through its diverse artistic projects, YELO continues to innovate, ensuring that cultural programs are accessible and inclusive for all.
